Chromebooks

UFOs, new tech, it all goes in here. Have you tried switching it off and back on ?

Chromebooks

Missus didn't like her iPad Mini so I flogged it and bought a cheap(ish) Chromebook.

Essentially it's a just big Android phone but with Chrome OS (little different to the Windows browser).

It runs Linux apps natively though for folk who need more techy stuff.

They haven't sent me the cheque yet. :snooty:

Though seriously, she wanted something that had everything she uses on her Android phone but writ large, and which requires little on no maintenance. It's pretty good for that in truth.

I did some arsing about with Gnome apps today - meh - I prefer Windows tbh.

I've said before that I've gone back to a tower, a clacky keyboard and a functional mouse.

On screen keyboards are utter shit no matter what the device :woteva:

I've run an HDMI cable over to the unnecessarily large telly and put a graphics card in the Dell in order to use it as a third screen rather than Bluetooth it like a peasant :dafinger:

I was sitting last night eyeing up my big screen while holding this HDMI cable …. No, don't do it. :pmsl:

I did the drag over thing earlier, my pointer just ended up on the other screen and I could figure out how to get it back over  so disconnected until i find some more brain cells. I wont be beat by this :grrrrr:
