The New Gammon Army

The New Gammon Army

Postby Stooo » Sun Sep 27, 2020 2:30 pm

Actor Laurence Fox has announced that he is launching a new political party to fight the so-called “culture wars”, described by one source as “Ukip for culture”.

A report in The Telegraph says that Fox, an actor best-known for starring in the TV drama Lewis, has raised more than £1m, including sums from former Tory donors.

Fox is apparently hoping to stand dozens of candidates for his new party, provisionally called “Reclaim”, at the next general election.

It has been set up to provide a political movement for people who are “tired of being told that we represent the very thing we have, in history, stood together against”.

Personally I'm all for the fragmentation of the RW populist vote :pmsl:

Was Billy Piper really married to him ?
I went off her when she hooked up with Chris Evans, liked her in Dr Who but thats as far as my knowledge of her goes.

I like Lawrence Fox as an actor, so I'm a bit biased. I also liked his stance re Meghan. I'm not entirely sure what this party stands for though.

Sounds good then. Can't be doing with all this "woke" nonsense - it's far too tiring.

Fite! :monkey:

Fresh off the back of claims Laurence Fox is planning to launch a new political party which will contradict the Tory stance on Covid-19, Nigel Farage has said he could also form a new party to oppose the government's "authoritarian" measures.

The Brexit Party leader has added pressure on prime minister Boris Johnson by claiming the new measures are a threat to freedom, as sceptics fear a new lockdown to deal with the coronavirus.
