Nothing worse than overcooked sprouts  ............ nice and firm are much more palatable! :leer:

Correct. Mind you, if they're like bullets, they're pretty nasty too.

I never used to eat sprouts as a child but I don't mind them now.... as long as they are cooked properly. They're nice served with fried bacon lardons and pine nuts.

I've had them with chopped roasted chestnuts.... but that sounds nice, must try it!

It's also a good idea, after frying your lardons for a little while, to chuck in a little white wine and reduce it down before serving it up with the sprouts. :smilin:

Sounds even better...

I am not a troll.

It is in the mixture, as well as cloves.

A very simple idea for HOME decor...I have the RUSTIC look.

Get some Pine cones, some Pine leaves...and Rosemary leaves...and some Twine and to a bow OR Holly leaves put them in baskets..

They look heavenly.. :smilin: Timeless!

Depends on which basket is used. A Tesco one would look awful. :leer:

Thanks for splitting the thread Victoria.

Any chance that one or other thread could be renamed in order to differentiate between the two threads for anyone who tends to click on "Active Topics"? Their titles are very similar.

Thank you. :smilin:
