My Granda was like that JP, he was in the RAF.

He had a great attitude and sense of humour, he came from Northern Ireland and despite living in Scotland for about fifty years, he never lost his accent.

My other Granda was in the army, i didn't know him that well.

I was the 20th out of 21 grandchildren and by the time i arrived, my Granny and Granda had lost count and interest in us.

Sounds like a great man.

I had one fantastic Grandad(The Navy), and a fantastic StepGrandad(The Army). My other blood-related Grandad there is a long story to that.

Sometimes the blood doesn't matter, it's the love that counts.

There's a lady i call Aunt, who's also my Godmother and we've have no blood ties, but i've always thought of her as my Aunt and me and her are close.

Then there's my mum's sister.

If i saw her in the street, i would walk straight past her.

My mum and her brother feel the same about her, she's a nasty piece of work.

I think that any Europhile/ Remainer who wears a poppy should be named and shamed for filthy hypocrisy - they openly and unashamedly want what millions of people gave their lives to prevent. :shake head:

Did you see the journalist Robert Fisk's article about the poppy, apparently the poppy is racist.

I hope someone beats him up.

I ordered this Poppy, off eBay this morning.

That's three poppies i've bought now, that will do me.

I gave the first Poppy i got off Poppy Scotland to my dad and the Poppy with the Rangers crest beside it, still hasn't arrived.

So i bought that crochet one and all the profits go to the British Legion.

True words there, sometimes it doesn't matter. My Nieces StepDad is way better to them, than their biological Dad. Cares for them and looks after them, in the way that they deserve.

My brother thinks of his Fiancee's daughter as his own.

Her natural dad hasn't been on the scene since she was a wee girl and my brother is the only father figure, she's ever known.

Very nice, classy. A little bit different to a poppy pinned onto the top.
