Starbold was originally the name for a Wind Farm Proposal in Stratford Upon Avon .

Quite apt the Major chose that, he is always "Full of Wind" :pmsl:

You'll always be Starbold to me, Starbold. :wubwub:

You'll always be TB pothook to me Az.

"Pothook" now is it - how does that differ from "ponthook", Starbold? :dunno:

And I don't have TB.

Johnny Ray Was Gay

In 1959, Ray was arrested again in Detroit for soliciting an undercover officer at the Brass Rail, a bar that was described many years later by one biographer as a haven for musicians and by another biographer as a gay bar. Ray went to trial following this second arrest and was found not guilty. Two years after his death, several friends shared with biographer Jonny Whiteside their knowledge that Ray was homosexual. Starbold is to be congratulated for promoting his homosexual hero.

The Major bit came from Sarah Ferguson's Dad.

Johnny Ray's homosexuality brings a certain frisson to his version I think - what do you think, starbold?

Why tell me, starbold? :dunno:

But stay on topic please - why do you prefer Johnny Ray's version of the song over Big Tom's offering?

They're two different songs entirely. Both great. Lonnie Donegan wrote the Tom Jones one. So the Major can't choose a version.

More fool me for believing Markey.

But we know starbold prefers this gay chap - and good for him - because he started this thread in his remembrance.
