Look at these little beauties.

Image

Short demo with them hooked up to Alexa but the video doesn't do the sound quality any justice:

Shortly after this the kids commandeered the speakers and there was much playing of songs from My Little Pony, Toxic by Britney and general tap dancing.

Bloody kids.

Do they live up to your expectations?

(And...they the wrong way round left/right). :smilin:

Yes they are great. I’m not sure I’ll get a look in now the kids know how to use them.

Lolz and you are right! I need to swap them around...Would help if I knew my left from my right.

Nice pic Avon it's a pity you won't get to use them much.

I'll have the R1 dab radio by the end of the week. I'm going to get the MR1s a little later in the year they look too good to resist and going by plenty of reviews they also sound very good.

Yes they will sound even better now. And bear in mind speakers are one branch of tech that do actually improve over a certain amount of hours, due to moving parts.

Cheers JP. I might have to accidentally on purpose lose the kids. I never liked them anyway.

They are great little speakers (once you get them the right way round...) so worth the investment.

For big sports events and big-budget movies a decent large screen makes for more enjoyable viewing, it's more immersive and impactive.

Yeah but I just need a big screen, a decent sound system and a decent broadband connection. No need for tuners or decoders. TV is old tech and I say that as a former aerial, cable and satellite engineer.

A smart tv is old tech?
I get the the internet and everything else I could need entertainment wise at the press of a button.

Summer is around the corner, Though it's snowing as I type this :dunno:
As soon as the weather turns for the better, The guy that does the garden will clean it up and set out the garden furniture. and I'll buy a 4 or 5k projector unit and stream movies or sports on a summers night.

Nice.. I just have a mere Epson EH-TW5210 Full HD projector it's bloody great for the money though. Good luck to you if you can afford a 4K projector beast, although prices are dropping a tad.

I wouldn't mind one of these but I'm on the fence as to whether or not it's too tacky/gimmicky
