Good video.

Even people not that keen on Picasso tend to admit this one is something special. It took him about six weeks, locked away in his studio, and there is an interesting series of photographs by his squeeze at the time, Dora Maar, showing how he changed things around along the way:

I'm a bit of a philistine when it comes to the visual arts, Turner and Warhol is about as far I can stretch, but Guernica has always intrigued me. Thanks for the info, I am googling more about it now.

I really like the basis of Brutalism. The concrete and the huge scale. I think it can look quite beautiful. There’s a building in Tokyo made up of concrete boxes, giving room for little balconies with lots of trees by Akihisa Hirata.

I adore came across Fouad Samara the other day. Their Modulofts are wonderful. I love a building that changes, and the moving walls are great. Lots of big concrete structures too, that look so very harsh but also beautiful.

Oooo, nice link. I see quite a bit of Le Corbusier influence there, which is not uncommon. If I had a dream modern building to live in, it would be this one, The Farnsworth House in Illinois, designed by Mies Van der Rohe. It's very modern and simple-looking yet exquisitely proportioned. It's a museum now as it turned out not to be that easy to live in, but I'd still happily give it a go:

This is one the best new works of art I've seen in a while. By the Russian artist Yuliya Litvinova. If you go to her page here you can zoom in on it https://www.artstation.com/artwork/JlaRPA

I’m about to become a piece of art.

I have an original JJ Van Poorten from 1881--bought it at an old antique shop in an old house.
