just finished Margaret Forster’s Diary of an Ordinary Schoolgirl and very boring it was. I read her Hidden Lives the week before and that was very good.Prior to that I read Dadland by Keggie Carew and enjoyed that.

Yes, a delightful tome about the futility of the Irish border when there was one.

Just read Chris Ecclestone’s autobiography “I love the bones of you.” He seems a very troubled soul but I usually like him as an actor. I bought it secondhand off Ebay and when it arrived the previous owner had picked out paragraphs in yellow highlighter pen which annoyed me.

I recommend a tremendous British author---Philip Kerr. He wrote the Bernie Gunther series.
He died over a yr ago at only age 62. I have only 4 more of his books to read and am already mourning the death of the series.
It is funny,dark and a great history of ww2 and what preceded and proceeded it.
If you do read him start in order with his Berlin Noir trilogy.

Just fi ished The Madness of Crowds on audible. All about identity politics and quite an eye opener.

Time travellers Guide to Elizabethan England is a good one for history buffs.

Currently half way through “The Life of Stuff” by Susannah Walker. Her mother was a hoarder and she gets the job of clearing her house when she dies, having spent time over the years doing her best to help her mother keep her house habitable. very interesting.

Ive just finished reading The Girl Who Lived Twice, written by David Lagercrantz continuing Steig Larssons Millenium Series.

Not as meaty as Larsson, but acceptable, I think there's still another story to come.

a new read, looking forward to this one. Latest in the Hunger Games books, this one takes us back to when Snow as a child.

I ended up giving that book to my daughter as part of her birthday, then I downloaded my own copy to Kindle, so we're both reading it now and a house ban on discussing it as I'm further on than she is. Its a great read for fans of the Hunger Games books.

In answer to the demand that I get a hobby on another thread, This Is Not Propaganda (Adventures in the War Against Reality) arrived yesterday. It's written by Peter Pomerantsev who is the son of former USSR dissidents who's experience he outlines in the preface and goes on to try to explain the information overload that should have set us free but instead has been manipulated by those who do not wish us well. It looks like an eyeball sucker so far
