I don't understand croutons, I'll stick with soup and crusty bread.

I used to like those Cuppa Soups, the chicken ones, one time I bought a box and never saw it had croutons in, nearly broke my teeth . In the bin. ruined it for me, never bought cuppa soup again.

If you need them on the spot, like in the spur of the moment, it's more convenient to have a couple of bags in the pantry, and like drum said, they come flavoured with herbs too, which are quite nice.

Yes I do, a biggish bag, 300g, garlic and herb and have a few on top of my tomato soup.

43p for 8 pork sausages down from £1.70 in Tesco this afternoon. I'm getting into this, also witnessed my first scrum.

Wanted some pears but there were people queuing by them rather orderly with a shop employee standing nearby. Took me a little while to work out that they were waiting to have a go at the reduced items that had been put out right next to where the pears are. Decided I didn't want pears too badly after all.

Went round the next aisle and saw my sausages at then end. Nobody really around, just a couple of packs of those and some of the posh ones reduced down to 63p. One pack was enough for me.

Went and got some bread then forgot to grab some milk. At the end of milk aisle some of the same people who were queuing for the fruit 5 minutes before were clamoring to get at whatever had been put out down there. Think it was cheese, yoghurts and stuff like that. Didn't want to get involved , looked a bit rough and no social distancing going on when we're in tier 3 round here.

So your 43p sausages could potentially risk your health... in more ways than one!
