Don't forget Maj it started out as a simple metal bracelet and not till some time later did it become studded with diamonds.
What do you think a detective/investigator would think of such a story?

Didn't it just start as a bracelet with no mention of metal or diamonds?

If it was valuable then it wouldn't be wood rubber or plastic I'm thinking.
Metal was a safe assumption but no .... no diamonds till someone mentioned melting it and lo and behold the most valuable part suddenly enters the story unless they were rose diamonds or the like.

So you acknowledge that you have said something without being sure whence it came from.

This happens because we are human beings, we are not machines and therefore sometimes we read something and misinterprete the meaning.

He did not yell at you and call you a liar and burst a blood vessel, he simply denied saying it.
Maybe you could learn from this ...... ie to how to react sensibly in these circumstances.

He apologised to Rollup - perhaps you missed that. Perhaps you could learn from the Major.

No I did not miss the apology at all. I saw it.
YOU are the one who missed the point completely - cos I was making a totally different point - and as usual you come running to poke your nose in,
you treat him like he is a helpless waif who cannot function without his forum mummy fighting all his battles for him.
Go fuck yourself.
