SPECTRE

The next 007 flick: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2379713/
It's a long way away, but the new year has rolled and it will premier this year and I'm really looking forward to it!
It got caught up in the North Korea hacking/spy scandal in a plot that comes straight out of a Bond movie, ironically enough.

December Press Conference. Sam Mendes reveals the cast and the car gets top billing!!! Apparently it will be able to do things a Bond car has never done before. :ooer:
7 months of nonstop filming all over the world, to go.

Loved everything about Spectre. It was even better than Skyfall imo.
A lot funnier too, thanks to 007's numerous withering one-liners.
The Bond girl looked the spit of Kate Moss, except that she was taller, prettier and younger than KM. Quite cerebral too, no airhead.
Bimbos are deffo a thing of the past, the Bond franchise has clearly moved into the 21st century ...
... and it accommodates the fact that cyber crime is a top tool for ''the enemy''

I felt the opening helicopter scene at the Mexico carnival was worth the ticket price, alone.
I was unsure about Sam Smith's theme song, which predated the movie, but when I heard it in the context of the movie, it all fell into place perfectly.

The only negative thing about the movie is that not once did James Bond take his shirt off during the entire 150 minutes.

That was downright mean. I'm disgusted at the scriptwriters, frankly.

A quick glimpse of 007's superb abs & pecs - was that too much to ask for???? :dunno: :bawlin: :bawlin: :bawlin:

Hahaha i did not want to see his ''P'' ( nor did i expect to, as it's only a certificate 12).
In fact i don't like sex scenes in movies at all, and i've already said so in previous threads, they tend to be over-acted (i'll resist the temptation to say 'over-egged').
But hey a glimpse of his toned torso would have been appreciated. :gigglesnshit:

Actually i've just remembered that in the vid of the theme song, there was a very brief sighting of 007's bare torso, but there were too many marine creatures around him at the time - don't ask.

ETA Ralf Fiennes (M) terrifies me more than all the villains put together. He's James Bond's boss and his facial expression is so fierce when he tells JB off. :yikes: Overbearing bosses un-nerve me, even in make believe films!

Young Quartemaster is as sweet as ever, bright as a button, that kid can hack into anything, in the time it takes to say ''code-breaker'' & he's so loyal to James Bond.

I am glad that you enjoyed the film. :Hiya:

I have not seen it yet myself but will probably buy it at some point - I was never a big Bond fan but Craig's brutal Casino Royale finally brought the series into the 21st century.
