Have you seen the house an immigrant thread? There is absolutely no way on earth I'd house an immigrant. They could do anything like rape or kill you or steal from you.

Surely most people who take in lodgers or who exhibit human kindness do it to any human being, rather than trying to segregate those based on what part of the globe they just happened to be born in.

My problem with the "immigration vs. homelessness" argument is always that people only ever seem to give a shit about the homeless whenever the immigration debate arises. Outside of that, I don't know how many of those who use this argument (and I'm not accusing anyone here of doing the same) actually give a real shit.

I agree. In regards to soldiers that are homeless due to PTSD or similar I think it should be a government responsibility to help and support them and they should not have to rely on charity.

Waffle seems to only be used when the poster can't (or won't) address the points made. All it does is make the person saying waffle look a bit simple, or lacking in a counter argument or ideas, especially on a discussion forum. It's a lazy go-to word for those not bright enough to counter the other poster.
