You almost managed it!

...well done, you!
Technically, though, I wasn't correcting anyone in the post you quoted. Does that give me a free pass?

Some the apologists?
Sport1--(this person goes beyond apolgism. He skirts around supporting it, look at his attitude in the Russian ambassador thread.)

Well here's your challenge:
1. explain what you mean by apologists
2. provide at least one link to show how each person in your list meets the definition.
You won't be able to do that of course but I just wanted to give you the chance to back up and justify your claim.

Kind of ironic that I've just seen jjwales saying that he's never heard of anybody attempting to excuse islamic extremism.
Odd.
I recall a lengthy thread on the subject of the Charlie Hebdo attack where bollywood spent months asserting that it was "understandable" that muslims might get sick of people drawing nasty pictures that offended them and decide to get hold of some AK47s and shoot a bunch of people to put things right.
And now we've got jj's best mate, sport1, doing something similar over the Russian shooting?
JJ either has selective memory, bad eyesight or a poor grasp of what constitutes "excusing" a bad thing.
