Almost finished Writing Home ... Alan Bennett, a hefty tome.

I've just ordered Helter Skelter which is about the Manson murders and also Child of Satan, Child of God on the same subject. Stuff like that fascinates me. I'm interested in what makes people tick and especially when it leads to extreme actions. I've read a lot of true crime books but these two books sound like they'll be enthralling. I tried replying on the DS thread where they were mentioned but there were more than 5 posts so I couldn't. Thanks for posting about them. It's winter and snuggling under a duvet with a good book or film is just what the doctor ordered.

I've just started reading "Baby Doll" by Hollie Overton.



It's about a woman who was abducted when she was 16 and held captive until she was 24.

The book starts just as Lily and her young daughter manage to escape.

It's very good.

I just got this on amazon. There seemed to be a huge amount of positive feedback so I went ahead and bought it.

I am currently reading 'In Cold Blood' by Truman Capote. Another author I would highly recommend is Haruki Murakami.

I've just finished reading "Saving Sophie" it was good but a little far fetched at times.

This was my first book by Tammy Cohen and it was excellent, i thought i had it all figured out and of course i was wrong.

I've just ordered another one of her books and i can't wait for it to arrive.

I've started reading this book by Nicci French and i'm really enjoying it.



I've discovered it's actually the 6th in the series about Dr Freida Klein, but you don't need to read the others first to enjoy it.

I've just ordered the first two from Amazon and they look cracking as well.

Blue Monday and Tuesday's gone.

I always have a book on the go but have to say, I haven't read a really good book for ages. They are all pretty average.

Just finished reading the second book about the Yorkshire Shepherdess and her life on a remote farm with her hubby and 9 kids. God knows how she manages to do everything but it was an interesting read and she seems a very nice person.

Also read Michelle Dewberrys autobiography and that was very good and she has become very successful after a harsh upbringing in Hull.

I need a good novel to read now.
