The Matchplay Terminator was awesome.

Anyone else and Ding would have slaughtered them! :kinell:

I find the dislike for Mark and John absolutely baffling.

It's the perfect final for the true snooker connoisseur - arguably the two greatest match players of all time in the longest match of the season?

Suits me.

The game is not all about bloody slam bang breaks for the Twatter and Farcebook generation.

But they both capable of that as well.

I predict an relatively easy victory for Mark Selby.

It should have been Mark and Ding in the final.

Ding to win the next match between him and Mark Selby, but it will be even closer than today.

Is the fight over? I've forgot about it, until now, obviously.

The World Championship Final starts this afternoon and my compatriot John Higgins will be taking on Mark Selby.

Fingers crossed the Wizard Of Wishaw wins his 5th title.

Get in there John.

I hope John does up his game Vic, but on current form it can only go one way. :bawlin:

I hope it's a good final Luds.

I don't mind Mark Selby, but i'd like to see Higs winning it again.

They were talking about the most memorable moments at the crucible and the Cliff Thorburn v Alex Higgins final was mentioned.

It took place in 1980 and the BBC were inundated with complaints after they took the final off air to show the SAS storming the Iranian Embassy.

It makes you proud to be British.

I'm watching the match and I could end up with egg on my face as John is playing out of his skin. :paranoid:

Hope he can keep it up.

The Matchplayer Terminator looks absolutely knackered but this is Selby - for me John starting off so well makes it evens atm - the first frames will be hugely important tonight.

If mark can hold John to within two frames over the next few hours I think a full night's kip will do him the world of good.

Can't wait - even recording LOD and that say's it all!

It's game on between two all time greats. :cuppaT:

What a final!

Two perfect gentlemen, both all time greats and the toughest match players ever to pick up a cue.

Congratulations Mark and very well played John.

That last goal looked offside though and what a ball to knock out the leg stump?
