Room 101...

A right load of bollocks...

Jack will find himself in room 101 before he's much older, if he doesn't stop moaning.

Torrential rain, wild winds and Jack wants to go for a walk.

My neighbours are pushing me over the edge.
Been working from home all week. I've listened to the same thump thump of shitty dance music beat every single fucking day on repeat. All sodding day. It's torture.
I cannot wait to get back to work on Monday :bawlin:

Probably my first post in this topic, 51 pages in - so I guess I'm not that much of a moaner! But I'm really starting to dislike April 1st. I was glad when the day was over.

Stories are confusing enough what with the newly established trend for fake news sites pumping out untruths (sorry, I mean alternative facts) by the bucketload. Factor in April 1 hoaxes and it all gets a bit much. Also factor in that not all the timepieces in our house make the one hour adjustment automatically ..... and a week later I still get caught out some mornings - it all makes for a mildly confusing few days! :shake head:

My mother!!

She has lost her mobile phone and being the helpful sort, i said i would look for it.

After checking her bag, i asked her what she was wearing yesterday.

"My jacket with the sleeves"

That's a great help!!

I was at the hospital this morning and I had to get my blood checked.

I know from experience, they'll let anyone be a phlebotomist.

They were always trying to get my mother to be one.

(She worked in the hematology department)

Anyway she wasn't interested, which saved a lot of sore arms.

Now I've got a high pain threshold, but the pain i was in this morning was unbelievable.

Not only was the phlebotomist clueless, they have ran out of the usual needles and have these extra fat ones.

I can hardly move my arm due to the swelling and if it gets any worse, I might have to go to casualty.

Ouch! :ooer: How's the pain/swelling today, Vic? I would imagine that, because you're so slim, you certainly would have felt that bigger needle going into your arm!

Since my surgery last year, I have to get a blood test done each month for the rest of this year. Hate having to do that :bawlin: So yeah, I think this would be a good time to consign needles and syringes into the deepest darkest bowels of Room 101.

Hi Vam. Image

Usually it's not a problem me getting my blood taking, because i've got very fair skin and and my veins are easy to spot.

However that dopey woman yesterday stuck the needle in my arm, nowhere near a vein.

Thankfully i don't need my blood checking for another three months, i think i'll ask my dad's sister.

She might be retired but she was a nurse and i'm pretty sure she won't leave me in agony.

Getting your blood taking every month must be a hassle, hopefully the folk doing it are better trained than that one yesterday.

Ask you can see the swelling has gone down.

However you can also the needle mark and it's nowhere near any of my veins.

That looks sore, Vic! You could maybe try some Arnica cream/gel - it's great for bruising/inflammation

I'll give that a try Vam.

Someone said put a packet of frozen peas on it, but it's not very practical when you happen to be right handed.

Could you not use your left hand to hold the frozen peas onto your right arm? :gigglesnshit:
