There may be trouble in the streets .......

There may be trouble in the streets .......

The anger is building.
Many voices are talking about revolution.
Last time and in fact the only time I ever heard this kind of talk
was when Thatcher was crushing the unions creating mass unemployment and inflation and interest rates were going through the roof.
When schools had no books no pencils no crayons.
When hospital roofs were letting the rain in and so on.
There had already been trouble on the streets demanding May goes.
The fire has sent the feelings up another few notches.
People are getting very angry and the hot weather is upon us.

Protesters stormed Kensington and Chelsea Council’s offices on Friday demanding answers.

There's a massive demo arranged for 1st July in London by the 'people's assembly'. Looks like people really have had enough! :doomed:

Yes, I've seen the flyers they're sending round. Do you approve of this stuff organised by activists?

Do you support Tory councils murdering their tenants to save £5,000.

The Fascists on here are opposed to all forms of protest. :brickwall:

They support Tories who make a whole tower block unsafe cos they wouldn't spend £5,000 more on NON FLAMMABLE panels, thus killing over 100 people.

Should you not wait for the inquest before throwing out accusations like that?
If it didn't suit your agenda, you'd be screaming ''don't believe all you read in papers'' at another time.

Yes because people can speak at inquests.
She decided on an inquiry instead.
An inquiry is run by the government.
The people cannot speak.
It will take years as government enquiries always do.
What is released to the public is decided by the government.
A criminal inquest would be by the people for the people and there would be no where for the guilty to hide.

And then we get this.
Is this real I haven;t checked?
If it is then I think it really does have to be the final straw .....
“MOVE NORTH OR BE ‘INTENTIONALLY HOMELESS’, LOSE ALL SUPPORT
GRENFELL VIDEO
The scandal of the treatment of the survivors of the Grenfell Tower catastrophe goes from shameful to vile.

As one of the survivors testifies in the video below, survivors are already being shipped out as far north as Preston in Lancashire – with some reports of people being offered as far north as Northumberland.

But these are not ‘offers’ in any meaningful sense of the word, because survivors are being told that if they fail to accept an offer they will be declared intentionally homeless.

And if you make yourself intentionally homeless, you do not qualify for any support or assistance:
Local residents have told the SKWAWKBOX they feel they’re being treated more as criminals than as victims
Is this really happening?

Sounds like some shopkeepers might expect a few smashed windows and stolen trainers in the near future.
