Judge who sided with another scummy Tory London council over its treatment of housing tenents - his decision was later overturned by the Supreme court.

I wonder how this inquiry is gonna go :dunno:

:brickwall:

I'd like to see an inquiry as to why they are rushing to chuck money and property at so many immigrants, many here illegally, whilst over 7000 forces veterans are homeless and rotting to death on our streets.
What say you Wutang?

All homeless should be taken care of.

Its not like there is a shortage of empty homes

Despite widespread anxiety about a shortage of housing supply, there are 610,123 empty homes in England, according to the government. Of these, 205,821 have been unoccupied for six months or more, the official definition of "long-term" emptiness. n September last year, Scotland had 31,884 long-term empty properties. In Wales, 23,171 were empty for six months of more during 2014-15, the Welsh Government says.

If the Tories had not brought it their repressive anti-squatter legalisation then those 7,000 veterens could take some of the 660,000 empty homes to stay in.

Why would anti-squatter legislation have an impact on the ability of people to find places to live?

Are you suggesting that homeless people should be encouraged to squat in empty properties as some kind of official solution to the issue of homelessness?

Cos that sounds fucking insane.

I see Wutang.
Our homeless veterans can fucking squat, while illegal immigrants are given decent apartments (which going on Grenfell, they will soon turn into grotty shiteholes).

Gotcha.

Personally I'd prefer that our veterans were given priority...

A 52 year old man has been arrested after falsely claiming his wife and son had died in the fire to get rehoused and money.

However when then the police started to look into his story, they found it contained more holes than a sieve.

I pointed out there are over 600,000 empty homes in this country. Why the fuck is anyone without a home in that situation?

As opposed to sleeping rough, yes.

Homeless man Daniel Gauntlett dies frozen on doorstep of empty bungalow in Aylesford

Police had reportedly been called previously after he tried to break into the bungalow. And so Mr Gauntlett, had taken the fatal decision to abide by the law.

RBKC tried to ban press from council meeting.

High court overturns it.

Don't we all. Unfortunately most of our homeless veterans are victims of austerity cuts that have slashed mental health care provisions. You need to actually meet and talk to homeless people.

Too right.

The same week that the authorities have finally announced criminal charges against the people responsible for Hillsborough the fucking Tories are showing that they haven't learned a goddamn thing

Maybe the survivors of Grenfell will see justice in 2045 :shake head:

Kensington council bottle out of a meeting due to being shit scared of the people, meanwhile the Mayor of London takes part in a public Q&A with no issues. It helps to actually fucking talk to the people that you represent.

Shit scared of people knowing what they are up to. The High court slapped down their attempt to ban the press which is why they cancelled - don't want their actions reported

Guilty much :dunno:

Grenfell Tower fire: Judge 'doubt' over inquiry scope

The retired judge heading the inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire says he is "doubtful" the process will be as wide-ranging as some residents hope.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-40446579

I wonder if this will be included in his "scope"
