Sack someone from one of the most important offices in the land for having a cough and sore throat that interfered with a good PR opportunity? That's insane.
As for the prankster what crap security. He could have been violent and he got that close to the PM and the cabinet including the home secretary. Shocking truly.

Some in the media especially powerful media barons seem to have an agenda to force her from office.

It would never be about that speech, poor though it was.

It would be about the inept decision making from the very top. The in-fighting. The lack of discipline. The dire lack of talent. And people waking up to the fact that, having been one of the worst Home Secretaries in living memory, Mrs May has simply carried on in that manner as PM. A wet rag, no authority waste of oxygen.

I wouldn't want her as my boss - why should the country ?

Yeah lets have someone who lies about giving uni students their tution fees back to get their votes and then denies he ever did once he got them, even though the lie did him no good at all in the end. Red faces all round for Labour and dumb, naive little students.

Only one person seems to be still repeating the lie that Corbyn stated that a Labour party would refund student fees.

You.

He didn't. And you know full well, along with the Tory HQ spin machine that he didn't.

But hey, if you repeat a lie often enough......

Ah good. Please post unambiguously labours policy on tuition fees and brexit. Thank you.

Throw in trident aswell please.

I bow to your obvious experience, if anyone knows more than you about 'repeating lies often enough........' I'd like to meet them. :kinell:

So, you get called out on a lie.

Instead of doing the obvious - providing the attributable link to the (non-existent) Corbyn promise, you do the usual.

I think not, remember your attempt to blame the Monarch collapse on Brexit - utterly destroyed by my truths.

Still in denial, eh ? Well, let's face it, that's not unusual for Leavers.

***Note to self***

Easy Jet profits drop £105m due to weakness of Sterling....Investors reacted badly to the mixed report, pushing the carrier's shares down 8.8%.

Monarch had exactly the same happen to them.

And that was caused by ?? Yep. Got it in one, even if you hate to admit it ....

And of course, still no link to the Corbyn 'story'.

Labour manifesto on tuition fees:

Labour will reintroduce maintenance
grants for university students, and we
will abolish university tuition fees.

http://www.labour.org.uk/page/-/Images/ ... 202017.pdf

No mention of cancelling existing debt (sadly).

Although given that student debt is the new housing debt bubble a future government will have no choice but to bail it out anyway - maybe this time instead spending billions bailing out bankers they could instead bailout the public, by wiping the student debt.

My lad has just completed a Masters degree in Plant Science. (1st Class Hons, bless him). Total debt ? Just over £50k.... I would have noticed, had Corbyn promised to wipe that out, I can assure you.

So you think the poorest should pay for your sons education in order that he earns more. Standard leftie. Its all pure selfish self interest.

Gosh, you really did do that trolling course. And paid attention...

I want the biggest businesses to pay their fair share of tax. You know, the likes of Vodaphone not getting a £6bn tax break, as an example. Then we could ALL be a bit better off, and getting a really good education would be free just like it was when those Tory MPs like Gove, Johnson etc were getting their degrees.

Ah i see. You have no idea about yeild vs rate. So you dont think graduates should contribute to boosting their own earning power (as it would personally save you a few quid). Lol typical leftie self interest agenda.

Houston, we have an unrecognised economic genius in our midst...

OK, my answer.

Graduates from the last decade will have a huge debt hanging over their heads from day 1 of their working lives. That's BEFORE buying a house, marriage, kids etc. Now, ask yourself why it is that collection of student debt repayments is in such deep trouble. A couple of clues. They move abroad, or in low pay, low skill jobs they can't earn enough to reach the threshold of repayment. So, one way or another we seem to be losing a good proportion of our brightest minds from the working environments where they could do most good for the country.

We aren't giving them the opportunity to boost their own earning power in many cases, and when they do get good jobs we penalise them. So off they go.

We are dumbing down.

And anyone who believes that is good for our economy should look at how successful countries value education.

As to it saving me a few quid..... not one penny. Laddo worked for a few years in Switzerland, and earned enough to pay his expenses. He now has a PHD placement which comes with a moderate salary, so won't pay anything back until at least 36. And if he has any sense he will go back to Switzerland or the like, where scientists are properly valued, in 4 years time.

Oh dear. You cannot resist spreading misinformation. Its not really a debt is it. What happens to it if not paid off after 20 years? Written off. No effect on credit rating. A contribution is only made once graduate earns above 21k i think it is. Obviously the beneficiary of an earning power boost (i understand your doubt that plant studies may not deliver an earning power boost but that was your sons gamble not the tax payers:gigglesnshit: ) should contribute towards the cost. One thing we can thank labour for is fees.

"What happens to it if not paid off after 20 years? Written off."

Of course it is, everyone knows that, especially graduates.

Why do you think they are moving abroad (for about 20 years) ??? Or taking low paid work ???

As for my son, with his science doctorate (specialising in genetics, currently) he can go to, say US and pull in an £80,000 annual salary. You obviously have no idea.

His precise work now.... The Department of Crop Genetics undertakes fundamental research on the biology of cereals, brassicas and legumes to understand the genetic and molecular basis of phenotypic variation. A major goal is to develop the technologies and knowledge base to provide a predictive framework that will underpin conventional and novel plant breeding strategies. This will enable high-yielding, stress and disease resistant varieties, with a particular end-use quality, suitable for an efficient but benign agriculture.

Feeding the planet.......

I don't think the Maybot will go yet. They have no one they can agree on to replace her.

This T ory party are such a disaster that in the middle of trying to get the best possible deals with the Europe the party and government are falling apart.
I think a hard Brexit is inevitable simply because no one is up to the task of actually negotiating anything.
Those in Europe must be dismayed and maybe pleased at the chaos they are witnessing in this country.

The EU aren't going to make it easy though are they? What's in it for them to give Britain what we want?
It's a stand off.
