scuse my ignorance but what is a digital drawing?

I just drew it on the iPad with the Apple Pencil, pretty much the same technique as I use for physical drawings.

And thanks everyone! I loved that photo as soon as I saw it. I use it on my 'thank you for buying from me' cards now.

so it's an exact replica of a photo but done freehand?

Yep. Drawn freehand mostly (I use grids to make sure everything is in the right place), using a photo as reference.

That's amazing, it's so far removed from my abilities that I am genuinely

Yeah, they were both Shih-Tzu twin girls. The two I have now are girls too - and a much bigger breed

I'm a Newfie too! I also have a Newfie. She's 12 stone of absolute love. Bloody wonderful dogs.

Nicks what's her daily diet?

She's on raw now, but 1.2kg a day over 2 servings.
On dry food it was about 2kg a day, and wet food two of the big tins a day.

The cat actually costs more to feed than the dog though

Was it mischievous when younger?

The dog? I wouldn't really say mischievous. She was just very eager. She would insist on walking between my legs, she would 'save' everything that shared a river with her (including ducks) and she wouldn't let the kids walk more than a couple of metres away from us. She took her self given responsibilities wayyyy to seriously.

Yes, it is devastating to lose a pet you had for years, especially when you had them right from when they were puppies. I totally understand the grief you felt, I so do too...it's been 17 month now since I lost my girl and I'm still just not over it. I miss her terribly, every time I speak of her, I burst into tears....Having said that, I'm so very glad I had her in my life, she gave me so much happiness, fun and love. Not sure I want another dog though once my last one is gone...it's just too painful to lose them.

Yes, it is devastating to lose a pet you had for years, especially when you had them right from when they were puppies. I totally understand the grief you felt, I so do too...it's been 17 month now since I lost my girl and I'm still just not over it. I miss her terribly, every time I speak of her, I burst into tears....Having said that, I'm so very glad I had her in my life, she gave me so much happiness, fun and love. Not sure I want another dog though once my last one is gone...it's just too painful to lose them.

The only pets I've had were goldfish, it was a shame when they died but not quite heartbreaking. I probably wouldn't cope well with losing a dog.

I also once had a fish tank with lots of lovely goldfish...however, for some reason they kept dying on me, and to be perfectly honest, I got rather sad every time I saw one floating upside down....but yeah, it's just not the same as losing a dog. They are almost like your children, everyone who ever lost a dog and is a true dog lover, will know how painful it is.

My brother was looking after his girlfriends fish, when she went on holiday.

She'd had him for about fourteen years and was very attached to him.

The plane was still up in the air, when the poor wee sod died.

I hear you (BIB), btw. Absolutely rips your heart in two to lose them. I'm dreading having to go through that again.

But we both know the eventual sorrow is worth it, for every day of happiness, laughter, and unconditional love they give us.
