I won a pair of designer glasses in their raffle after buying tickets in Airdrie's Fair Day on Saturday.

I was surprised to discover their computers aren't linked up to their other branches, I usually go to Specsavers in Coatbridge.

So they had to phone them to get my prescription.

You would think such a huge company, would all be linked to save the hassle.

In a way it's rather refreshing.

For instance the trouble with everything being on a computer is that one technological glitch and everything is lost.

But then I am a miserable git.

Glad you won those glasses.

Yes i was chuffed about winning them, it's only the second time i've ever won anything.

The last thing i won was a craft stamp, about ten years ago.

What's a craft stamp? :dunno:

You use them in Card-Making Jack.

Put the stamp in ink and then put it on your card, you can use paints, pencils etc to fill them in.

Not only is he a trolling twat, he's made threats against me and it will be a cold day in hell, before he ever posts on here again.

I got a vehicle tax renewal through the post on Tuesday, didn't see it until Tuesday evening and realised that the MOT was probably due, ballache! I tried to book it in with the many garages around my work but they were fully booked until the middle of this week so I called my regular service station and got it booked in for last Thursday, happily my manager was able to allocate it as AL but it fucking failed and wouldn't be ready until today :brickwall: Called in on Friday morning with the news but lost any chance of converting it to AL because of lack of notice so that's a day's wages gone

I got some new tyres for it on Thursday because I've got more tread on my head than the fronts had and the tyre place advised me that my front brakes were wankered and they could replace the lot for £200, nah. The local place did the brakes (discs and pads), a rear spring, new washer pump, a couple of bulbs and the cost of the test for £316, I was expecting £500 + so that was a bit of a result. Still, I don't need the cost this close to Christmas, I'm going to have to put in some Saturday overtime :ooer:

I don't think my uncle is going to win any awards for his tact, anytime soon.

My dad's eldest brother is in hospital and my dad and his brother (Snow) it's a nickname, visit him together.

My uncle who is ill, said he needed a nurse and my dad went told a nurse, her assistance was required.

"I'll be right there" she said.

Twenty minutes past and there was no still no sign of her, so my uncle Snow went and spoke to another nurse.

"My brother told a nurse, my brother who's a patient, needed help and he's still waiting"

Nurse said "What nurse did your brother speak to?"

My Uncle Snow said "The fat one"

I burned my finger with oil last week, when I was cooking.

I'm going to have to the doctors.

I can't believe the mess my finger is in.

I was talking about my Granda earlier.

I must have been about four there and brother would be eight.

My wee cousin must be about three.

I had a burn about 18 months ago and went to see a chemist who gave me a tube of medication, it worked very quick, forgot the name.
SEE THE ACTUAL CHEMIST, NOT a sales assistant

I was at the Glasgow Fort yesterday and was bargain hunting in my favourite shop Hobbycraft.

I managed to pick up a bundle of assorted card blanks for £5.00.

They would usually have cost me £21.00

So I was very pleased!!
