If he thinks they shouldn't pay out pensions, via UK government payments to the EU, then he should refuse to take his as a matter of principle.

But he has no principles.

None.

Why aren't you arguing that the EU parliament ought to honor its legal obligation to pay the pensions of retired MEPs?

Eh?

I am - but of course it is NOT the EU that pays these pensions. It is the UK taxpayer, via annual contributions to the EU budget.

Just because we leave, our responsibility to pay for these pensions (and many other previously agreed commitments) does not go away.

And there's the point I am making. Farage forcefully states we should not pay for these commitments - but is happy to take the money !!! Utter hypocrisy.

Explain ?

Just saying it's false doesn't make it so. In fact, with your dire record of debate, it makes it far more likely to be true....

Cannydc wrote:Nigel Farage has refused to give up his EU pension after Brexit.

The former Ukip leader was asked on BBC One's Andrew Marr Show whether he would stick to his principles and turn down his annual MEP pension.

"All I can say is, given the arbitrary way the European Union behaves in terms of money, I'd be very surprised if I get any of it," Mr Farage said.

Mr Farage is entitled to an estimated annual pension of £73,000, The Times reports. The 53-year-old would be able to claim the pension at the age of 63.

That particular pension will be paid from the £50bn leaving bill - which Farage claimed we should not pay a penny of !!

So, happy to add to the debt WHEN HE BENEFITS. Naturally. It's him all over.

Rather funnier were these comments - When Farage was asked if he was "getting too close to a dark kind of politics," he said: "Do you know something, I believe I've done more than anybody in this country to stop the rise of the far-right in Britain.

"I did it by taking away those people who were going out and voting BNP and holding their nose. So when it comes to dealing with the far right, I've got a very good track record."

:pmsl: :pmsl: :pmsl: Course you did mate.

I don't apply the term Obnoxious to many, but he qualifies like Lewis Hamilton qualifies an F1 car.

The European Union is legally responsible for paying them, not member states. Try again.
