Sounds like he asked her to bring the Tramadol to help his bad back and she was daft enough to do it without checking it was oK to do so.

She doesn't deserve the death sentence for sure.

Another stupid dozy English bint taken in by the swarthy charms and lies of a greaseball foreigner. :shake head: It's hardly surprising though being indoctrinated from birth to believe that it's absolutely fine to trust any sort of foreigner, in fact it's almost a law to accept everything they say and do as they tell you, on pain of being locked up for racial hatred if you don't.

tho this daft mare was completely stupid or foolish

I cant help but wonder

would she be getting soooo much vitriol
if her "husband" weren't a pesky muslim?

not that she cares
she's doing the hardest bird possible and wont last her sentence imho
even if shown leniency and only given a 10 stretch

Laura Plummer has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Her family have gone hysterical and think the Egyptians are a shower of bastards.

They seem unable to grasp the fact daughter dearest is a drug smuggler and damn lucky to been facing a firing squad.

Plus she pleaded guilty - accidentally if her complete idiot of a brief is to be believed.

I await the police enquiry as to how she got hold of nearly 300 Tramadol, a drug only available on prescription and then only 10 at a time usually.

Aye very strong painkillers that she had no right to be in possession of in the UK either.

From day one its always been said that a female work colleague gave her the Tramadol which she had got from her GP on prescription and no longer needed. It goes on all the time. People stock pile medication and even accept medication that they have no intention of taking because they dont want to offend the GP.

Its not right but I’m not sure if theres anything anyone can do about it. Ask any person who has cleared out the home of a deceased relative and they will tell you “its like a chemists shop.”

It has been said elsewhere that she actually bought them off her "mate".

Which, if true, is also illegal.

I think I prefer to reserve judgement and see if there is any future police involvement.

*Note - selling or giving Tramadol away for free, even to friends (supplying) could result in up to fourteen years in prison and/or an unlimited fine.

I was on them a few years Canny and my script was for 56 at a time .... repeat so I didn't need to make needless appointments.
As you pointed out elsewhere (think it was you) I could get fourteen years if I passed them on to you and I'm not in Egypt.
I doubt there's a poster on here who would have any sympathy for me.
I think she's bloody lucky only getting 3 years.

Indeed - a few years ago you could buy Paracetamol in bottles of 500... And yes, she has been lucky so far - however I am led to believe that as the case goes up through each level of judiciary the sentence is liable to be altered. With that in mind, I wouldn't be criticizing their system too much if I were her parents.
