They cannot even play football.

Staying here amongst the other drunks will make you lower, have a word with Rolly.

Never a football fan, don't watch or do sports. Athletics is the closest I come to support and Jamaica's Usain Bolt is my idol. You are right re drunks and there is worse. Thnaks.

What part of Bristol you from then?
I grew up there as a kid. We might have neighbours!
( I won't say what part of Bristol just yet, because you might chose the the other side of town)

I lived near HMP Bristol. Quiet a downbeat area, lots of crime including antisocial behaviour, drunks, junkies, unemployed that commit crime as thye dont want to work. Many in hoodies with those dogs that may them look good, I feel sorry for the dogs. Where are you from?

Seriously, apart from the expense it can give you a skewed vision of life, your life - and when it's clearly not what you'd hoped it would be, can make the problems getting out of it seem insurmountable.

Can't disagree, but easier said than done.

Thanks for the honest post, one of many here. Thankfully I never smoked, but both of them a waste of money, and health. I've put on weight because of cheap drink. Drugs worse, thought about it, but seen too many lives flushed down the loo, so steering clear. I had a friend, she got hooked on drugs, lost her job, her home, initially got paid well as a call out girl as drugs took over agency let her go. She then ended up on the streets broke out in spots, STD and charged as a fiver for blowjobs, full sex and this at times was with ugly men who had not had a bath for heck knows how long. The thought of her on drugs, hooker keeps me away from it. I'm also aware that I'm no spring chicken and a big girl.

I find typing my thoughts a type of therapy, especially when I get nice, helpful comments.

BTW, Vicks, not sure if you know, but I was posting as Vicky's Fan as you are firm, yet fair.

I started going to the pub for literally a pint everyday. Unfortunatly a pint rarely was just that. Hence the reason two hours before closing.

Take care! Should add, alcohol is a depressant! Though you most likely know that.
