The FTSE Index is not a good yardstick to judge our Economy, it does boost our companies that sell abroad, i.e Shell and others like them, they make the money but it is re invested back into into the infra structure abroad, the money does not come into this Country and most of the big Companies abroad have shares in our major Companies so they get most of the benefits

The £ dropping against the $ and the Euro may improve our exports as the goods are cheaper abroad but we are having to pay more for raw materials to make the product, like a shop selling goods for more than they purchase them, it becomes unsustainable, and it relies on how long business`s can sell their product at a loss.
As for unemployment I am sure most of us realise that the figures are " tinkered with" by different Governments, one just has to look at any High Street to realise big named stores, banks, building societies have gone .
The rows of empty shops tell the real truth behind unemployment.
And bring on Brexit lets cut off another avenue of our Business Economy.

You were given a sharp lesson on the difference between deficit (the annual difference between government income and spending, promised to be eliminated by this year by the Tories - now postponed for a decade) and National Debt, what we owe the world in total - a figure which has MORE THAN DOUBLED under the Tories, they having added to the debt pile more than ALL LABOUR GOVERNMENTS PUT TOGETHER.

A lesson you seem to have forgotten.

Still pushing the dire, disabused and discredited austerity nonsense ?

What a complete tit.

Lol. FTSE pays slot of people pensions. £:$ is about rightm employment is the age old good news story under tory rule (we all know a country works itself out of poverty not doles itself out). And deficit which was caused by labours utter trashibg of the economy is almost 0.

Lol at the misery guts eho are so partisan they dont allow themselves to be happy at good news for all :gigglesnshit:
