For those posters who argue with each other, to me reading some of the insults slung back and forward between posters quite funny, the way they are written, the words used. Now what I want to know is do any of you have a sneaky laugh at some of the insults coming your way,? Do you have a grudging respect for your sparring partners debating skills or ability to insult? Do you see this as almost a bit of pantomime?
I know I have laughed at some things that have been said to me in an argument or thought ‘ah shit’ when they’ve got the better of me.
Just wondering
I just logged in to see if I'd been banned, I haven't it appears so I thought I'll answer that, it's a good question.
I absolutely do laugh when I see a great riposte whether it's to me or someone else, some I've seen make me titter others can make the tea come down my nose if I happen to be drinking a cup at the time.
Smart one liners are great but I do like a sarcastic or ironic reply just as much. They don't have to be crude they just need to conjure up an impression in the mind to make you laugh.
Often, some posters not known for their hilarity or wit can be the best, for example I just saw this post from Cannydc a politburo man from SOL not known for jovality - it just made me really giggle
You know full well that employers struggled to a man to ensure that their 100% white indigenous British workforce was well paid. In fact they often went hungry to make sure that the company handyman had a huge goose for Christmas and that their disabled sons were able to live happy and fulfilled lives.
The obvious sarcasm and the image of Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the goose is what done it I think.
