Pretty much my observation too.

Very hostile to the mother of a murdered child but always seems very sympathetic to criminals in any crime thread. It's very strange.

How many days/hours has she put into that thread now - essentially saying the same thing over and over? It's like a full time job for her!

That's why i stayed out of that thread bar about 3 or 4 posts. The repetitive nature of the argument just gets tedious and uninteresting, for me at least. I imagine anais is having fun batting away everyone who's basically formed a queue outside the thread to try and bait her or trip her up.

Well said. Let’s see if he still denies it now. VR6 tried to make out it’s only guests that could have noticed. He’s not alone in having a ‘thing’ for JRA and probably suspected he’d have the others support and back up but looks like he’s on his own this time round.

I’m impressed that JRA actually hasn’t stuck the boot in to VR6 or Hobbit, considering all the attention and shit they’ve thrown at him. He’s gone up in my estimation by being the bigger man.

Eugh. Creepy VR6 still has the Yates pic as his avvie. Can you imagine if one of the guys that usually gets attacked as being a sex pest or a stalker on here had a picture of one of the women members’ local pub as their avvie? .

Clearly they had to specifically search it out on the internet. It’s not just creepy but I think it also crosses the line especially given VR6’s previous unhealthy fixation on JRA. He reminds me a bit of squeaky Dox and how he used to behave.

Anais32 - I do think there is a debate to be had about pornography in general. In my view (and it seems Venables is a case in point) some people become addicted to porn and gravitate from the relatively benign to the more extreme stuff and finally move onto indecent images of children. It becomes a kind of compulsive behaviour and I'm afraid I don't believe the availability of 'legal' porn is innocent.

Now some men (and let's be honest - it is usually; though not always - men) seem to be more likely to gravitate to these depths than others. And it does seem that isolation plays its part (which is why I said upthread that the anonymity order may actually be contributing to Venables's offending rather than helping) but that alone can't explain how a desire becomes a criminal impulse and compulsion.
