Have you tried camphor? It is the newest essential oil I am obsessed with...Got a camphor air diffuser in my office...

No, I've heard it helps as a disinfectant and with libido :gigglesnshit:
What does it smell of?

It smells like Vicks... :pmsl: :pmsl:

I foresee a discussion about what came first chicken or egg kind...vicks or camphor... :gigglesnshit:

It's not for everyone...I am intoxicated by it..OH hates it... She says it feels like a Hindu temple atmosphere... :ooer:

The thing I don’t like about Vicks is the smell lingers for days after you’ve used it. If you like the smell that’s fine but I equate it with feeling ill so I’d rather not smell it when I don’t need to.

Same here, like the smell of deep heat, it's great at soothing those muscular pains but the stink! Is that methanol, eucalyptus or camphor?

I remember spraying Deep Heat on my back in the bathroom after a hot bath. I don't know what it was - mixing with the steam or whatever - but I managed to breathe it in. Result a huge asthma attack and rash all over my body. I'm a bit more careful with it now.

I had what I think was an allergic reaction to it once. My legs were aching so I sprayed some on them and they itched and burned like a bitch all night. Had a rash as well.

Ask to be sent to hospital to see a specialist consultant, he may then see the light when he considers the economics of your request.

Will your pharmacist sell you one?????

My old GP would give me anything but he left and the new one was OKish but a different breed, a new breed is taught different.

I have moved to another area now and this lot seem good, finguz crossed.

You have to be careful using it in the bath/shower, it's a double whammy with the heat. I find its a perfect combination to cure away any serious aches or pains but I don't have any breathing issues so I can handle the temporary burning sensation. Don't do it if you have asthma. :ohshi:

Hi Major. I did end up getting one from an online pharmacy, you might not have seen my post.

Perhaps these newer dr’s have been asked to cut back on unnecessary expenses, mine probably felt prescribing an inhaler to me was unnecessary.

I’ve had a minor underlying cough for most of my life, so when I get a cold or chest infection, I ‘feel’ like I have asthma and find it hard to catch my breath / easily winded. If I had to pinpoint a likely cause I’d say growing up in a house where one parent was a heavy smoker contributed to it.

The blue one I have is ventolin, or salbutamol, which is used if you feel wheezy all of a sudden. There’s a brown (or possibly orange) one which is used by people with chronic asthma as a preventative inhaler, like a daily thing I think. Not sure about other types, someone here is undoubtably more knowledgeable than me. I imagine those with serious asthma have multiple inhalers as they are potentially life saving.

To see a Specialist you have to be referred by a Doctor, even if paying private !

Not in my experience.
Once referred I can phone the secretary have a chat and arrange an appointent and I'm not talking private.
It might be a recent change.
