Unusual smells you like

A right load of bollocks...

I’m not a smoker and never have been, but I love the smell of tobacco. Lit cigarettes make me want to  but an unlit one is quite nice.

It reminds me of "Helping" my Granda put it on his shed, when I was wee.

I only had a wee, tiny brush, though.

Childhood memories that are intertwined with (not always pleasant) smells are always interesting. It only takes a small whiff to take us right back. :smilin: I’m like that with the smell of petrol/gasoline. Reminded me of road trips as a kid.

Cig smell, no. But I love the smell of cigars - lit or unlit.

...and the smell of freshly varnished wood.

Can't be arsed to look through to see if anyone else said it, but I love the smell of Napalm in the morning.

Did you go lots of places Nucks?

When me and my brother were growing up, my mum and dad always took us to Ayr.

Well except for the time my dad, insisted we drive to Aberdeen for our holiday.

It was a nightmare and it took us about two days to get there.

Went to the states a few times, mostly Montana and Washington area. Camping in British Columbia and Ontario. Lots of driving. I used to get carsick if my dad was smoking and the windows were up, so that part I didn’t like, but was glad to be somewhere with a bit of wilderness at the end of it.

Perfume mixed with cigarette smoke on a woman.

I'm not sure where I read it but I recall that smell is the sense most closely associated with memory. When I come across that particular combination it transports me to being a young man out on the pull and drunken fumbles in clubs and pubs. Seems like a lifetime ago now.

Oh I also love the smell of cigars...I actually smoke a whole cigar every New Years eve with a couple of Chivas Regals :gigglesnshit:
Only cos my OH does it, so one NYE a few years back I wanted to join in for the fun of it and have done it ever since.

Go you! If I tried that, pretty sure I'd be coughing right through the first week of January.

But yeah, I do love the smell of a big fat Cohiba
