An excellent performance in the boxing by the Home nations in the Commonwealth Games topped off by the excellent bout with Frazer Clarke winning the Super Heavyweight gold.

Just watched the Netball final between England and Australia. England beat the Aussies (who were massive favourites) by one point in the very last second of the game. Great drama!

Good to hear our netball team won. I fell asleep listening to that on Radio 5 live at like half 4 an amazing result all things considered.

Any sporting win over the Aussie's should always be celebrated.

Languages always fascinate me and I couldn't resist correcting you this once - so sue me  If I had a habit of always correcting you, I'd need to be here 24/7.

'Aficionado' btw, is a recognised word in English dictionaries.

Enjoy your sport today....

World Snooker starts soon.

I am going to stick my neck out and say Selby will win - he has had a shit season by his standards but has not lost a two session match in nearly two years as the China Open proved.

O'Sullivan is a genius but Selby is a far more powerful and heavier scoring version of Reardon/Davis over the long match format.

Ronnie came through quite easily in the end after that bad start yesterday. The tournament is pretty much his to lose now.
