I kinda like the SNP.

I have friends in the SNP - we have been trying to boost the Cumbrian version but unlike Kernow (or whatever the Cornish thing is called now) life is too good here for people to really give a fuck.

Kernow is the country.

I think that federalism is the only way ahead and non-facist nationalist parties are going to be huge in the future.

I know, but it's what we called the independence movement when I lived there.

My interest is mostly self-interest, I want Cumbria back in Scotland once again and to see the break up of a post-Brexit UK.

Corbyn is Labours problem

He’s spent his whole life in opposition
Even when Labour were the government he voted against them more times than the Conservatives
He doesn’t know how to lead

And the big thing is that in the preferred PM polls he’s trailing May by a big margin
And the gap is widening. Now at 16%

Labour will never form a government whilst Corbyn is leader.

Fortunately (at least from your point of view) the country doesn't vote for Corbyn.

Take a look at the posters. They say VOTE LABOUR - not vote Corbyn.

Take a look at the constituency leaflets - they say VOTE (CANDIDATE'S NAME), YOUR LABOUR CANDIDATE - not vote Corbyn.

People will vote for policies - and you ain't got any worth mentioning, except VOTE ME TO GET EVEN RICHER.

Me too. He will never get elected because he loves every other country and their people more than his own.

So we're all happy.

So why the panic stricken smear campaign, courtesy of Tory HQ and their pet tabloids ?

Why the trolling on every forum and website ?

Why the pathetic, endless ad-homs on Corbyn and any Labour supporter ?

Strikes me that someone is VERY uneasy that their cosy little cabal is rumbled and about to be broken up.

They are VERY worried that #ChangeIsComing.

You can't separate the party leader from the public perception of the party and its policies. They are inextricably linked, and the popularity or otherwise of a party leader will affect the general election results.

We saw the massive improvement in Labour's ratings when Corbyn was seen and heard regularly on TV.

Corbyn was calm, respectful, straight.

May bottled it.

I have no worries that he will out-perform May again.

Nor do top Tories. Hence the smears.

If you seriously believe that, then you are dafter than you already sound.

The recent 'stories' were mostly made up nonsense.

A select group of newspaper editors have been briefed to instruct their copywriters to exaggerate and 'spice up' every anti-Corbyn smear story they can find.

And their reward ? Leveson will be buried forever, and back to phone and e-mail hacking we go.

Before you ask for links, I have two very good contacts in the trade. If I named them, their very well paid positions would be in grave jeopardy, so I can't, sorry.

Stop lying Canny, you always revert to it's a smear campaign. Don't you get it? No-one believes you anymore. You whinge on all the time about a smear. They ain't smears they are the truth. Corbyn is a prat and a stooge of Russia whether you like it or not.
For him to stand up in parliament and state, I repeat state. I would never have sent in missiles without talking to Russia. Who the fuck does this wanker think he is, he is not the PM we already have one. Who has the authority to do what she did? She doesn't need a traitor like Corbyn permission. He knows Putin would not have agreed
That is a fucking traitors words, Can you imagine this Corbyn idiot standing up in Parliament saying I had a word with Putin and he does not agree with our missile tactic
So we ain't sending them. That's a fucking traitor to his country You Canny are backing
a dead horse give it up. Smear campaign be fucked.
