This is what Theresa May wants to do with foreigners – get rid of them or send them to prison.

Let’s be honest – Theresa May is a xenophobe.

Look at her record and it’s easy to conclude that she didn’t order airstrikes because she wanted to help the poor displaced Syrian children – she did it to kill foreigners.

Yes, it’s right to remind Mrs May that she voted to turn away asylum-seekers in 2016.

But let’s remind ourselves of her 2013 decision to flood London with advertising vans telling illegal immigrants to “Go home”.

It was a decision that prompted Mrs May’s fellow racists to report innocent British citizens to the immigration authorities, on the flimsiest of grounds.

Theresa May gave an impassioned speech defending her decision to launch airstrikes against Syria co-ordinated alongside the US and France.

May drew upon traumatic accounts of the country’s ongoing devastation in order to reinstate the point that Syrian residents are in severe danger.

We have seen the harrowing images of men, women and children lying dead with foam in their mouths.

These were innocent families who, at the time this chemical weapon was unleashed, were seeking underground shelter in basements.

Syria is currently in the midst of a Civil War described as one of the greatest humanitarian crises of our time. According to WorldVision, the conflict has left 13 million Syrian citizens in need of assistance; more than 5.6 million have fled the country in search of asylum, whereas a further 6.1 million have been internally displaced. Half of these affected victims are thought to be children.

In 2016, thousands of these minors travelled unaccompanied to Europe in search of aid. When they arrived, MPs took a vote on whether or not to accept them.

At the time, Theresa May, alongside 293 other MPs, voted against accepting them.

Can you name a country that doesn't have immigration laws, and allows anyone and everyone to remain, as long as they can plant two feet on it's soil?

I'm not saying you shouldn't allow immigrants, but I'm assuming the UK, like most other countries has a legal process that involves more than hiding in the back of a truck coming in from France.

Yep, there's all sorts of European laws that we can use to kick out undesirable people from EU countries but we didn't and don't use them and then we blame the EU for it.

It's still a nice place to visit though, we have castles :smilin:

The wording on that van needs changing to "In The UK Legally? Well tough...we might deport you anyway".

Channel 4 News covered a report last week about The Windrush Generation. People who came to UK from Commonwealth countries as children with their parents to do the dirty jobs British wouldn't do. Half a century on and some of the children now in their 60's have been threatened with removal despite a lifetime working and paying tax here. It's utterly disgraceful and shameful the way these people have been treated like pieces of garbage.

Downing Street branded a 'total and utter disgrace' after rejecting Caribbean leaders' request to discuss amnesty for Windrush generation

Bus drivers train guards and so on not dirty jobs British workers wouldn't do.
They were encouraged to come and get here as fast as possible because we'd just finished a war with Germany and had vast amounts of men going straight into asylums on return or special care homes because of their physical damage or they didn't come home at all.
Train guards bus guards bus drivers rural station masters caretakers were not dirty jobs we wouldn't do.

That's the myth the shit greedy bastard Tories plant.

Many cleaned public toilets, swept the roads (yes i remember days that was still being done by hand!), emptied bins (when that was very physical and shitty - unlike now), litter picked, washed dishes etc...those were the sort of jobs i meant.

Jobs that there has never been any shortage of British men willing to do apart from when we've put our men through the meat grinder of war to protect the bankers and or enhance their lives.

I have a disabled partner, who has recently suffered another heart attack...

I do all that, but the government has cut off all of our disability payments...

Of course the appeal will be won in the end...but it takes a year or more to get there so i'm relying on credit cards etc...to get us through!

It's tough!...but others have it tougher :shake head:

I know how that goes. A bit off topic but a friend of mine was on some kind of disabled allowance (sorry can't remember which one). Then a couple of years down the line he had a letter saying it was being stopped as "in our opinion you are deemed fit for work". Not only had he retired five or six years previous, he was a recovering stroke victim, battling with a weak heart (had pacemaker) and later cancer!

He took the letter to his GP who told him, 'no problem, i see these all the time...don't worry about it' and he sorted 'em out!

Personally. I'm sick of people like the OP volunteering me to look after the world's desperate and needy, I signed up for a system which helped the desperate and needy of my country, not the world.

There is a simple solution for the OP and those of like mind, get your friends to bash out another 100,000 signature petition calling on government to allow you as individuals to take care of refugees and the disparity between immigrants contribution to our services and their use of them.

I have no problem you taking personal responsibility for them, housing them, paying for their medical treatment, educating them and ensuring that they obey the laws of this country, if you can afford to do that it's fine by me.

It's a win win as far as I'm concerned. It helps those you worry about so much and also allows the funds which are currently being hoovered up by non British subjects to be used as they were intended, on British subjects.

Sounds like Utopia to me.
