Please read 'Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius - jotted down to himself in tents as he had to shore up the empire.

Wonderful and inspiring - more so than any 'religious' tome that you could ever care to name and something to keep one going.

Always depressing that a few cretins do this sort of thing, but there's some comfort that the reaction of the majority is against them.

No unfortunately not but there was a documentary series of the book on BBC4 years ago which I missed.

I believe all three episodes are on Daily Motion and Youtube though. :thumbsup:
