It really is shocking that people still believe that illegal immigrants get a penny from the state.

The power of the Daily Heil, eh ?

Even a single asylum seeker, who is likely to be shoved into a hostel in the North or Scotland, only gets £5.39 a day to live on. And that's it.

The Windrush Generation were brought to this Country to boost the Population after WW11, they helped to build our Houses, Hospitals, Schools,Roads Transport System they paid into our NHS and helped to get it going,

Yes Shame on us ENGLISH people and Government on the way we have treated them, They came from Our GLORIOUS Commonwealth and classed as British Citizens

Its a Scandal that matches the way we shipped children off to Australia at the same time .

The far right believe every word in the Mail. :shake head:
They are clueless about it lying to them. :shake head:
One such moron, who was allegedly against anti-Semitism, used to post Mail links fully aware of the Mail's history towards Jews.

Best not mention that particular poster - his 'issues' are obviously quite serious.

So much so, he has infected another poster of similar dross with his illness, causing severe anxiety for both.

Understandable if he was black, it just goes to show how poor our pubic servants are to make decisions like this.

Sheer madness. It's about time the men in white coats moved in on Downing street to get that idiot May locked away in a detention centre and deported.

The madness continues so it's back to business as usual. Yvonne Smith a 64 year old grandmother, banged up in a detention centre for the past nine months pending deportation...suddenly told "you're released" yesterday. A reporter from Channel 4 news met her outside and drove her back to her home in Birmingham where she was primary carer for her 92 year old disabled father who suffered a stroke. BUT...her ordeal was far from over.

How much more can people take of this unforgivable cruelty?

The reporter also made a good point that during the journey, Channel4 news received an email saying Mrs Smith had only been released pending deportation. So why hadn't the HO informed Yvonne Smith when she was at Yarl's Wood? They told Channel4 news, but not the lady it affects which simply beggars belief.

It's about time May herself was held to account over the Windrush debacle. She was the architect behind the 2014/16 Immigration Act and she was the creator of her 'hostile environment' which brought about this mess. The woman has brought shame and disgrace on this country.

BREAKING - Theresa May Facing Parliamentary Ambush To Force Publication Of Windrush Documents

Similar tactic to that used to force Brexit impact documents

Theresa May is facing a crunch Commons vote that could force the Government to publish all papers and emails on the Windrush scandal – including details of her own role in the affair.

Labour announced it would stage the Parliamentary ambush on Wednesday to force the Home Office to hand over all internal correspondence linked to deportations, migration targets and their impact on Commonwealth citizens denied basic civic rights.

The tactic is the same procedure used to get the Brexit department to publish its impact papers late last year.

If enough MPs approve Labour’s Opposition Day motion, ministers would be required to provide the Home Affairs Select Committee with all papers, correspondence and advice - including emails and text messages - from 11 May 2010 up to 1 May 2018.

The documents would cover all contact between Ministers, senior officials and Special Advisers relating to policy decisions with regard to ‘Windrush generation’ cases.

It comes as Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn described the scandal as a “seminal moment” in the debate around race relations in the UK.

Excellent news. What i've hoped for all along and a step closer to having Mays head on plate. She must be held to account.

Another link here which is more direct; https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/p ... 31361.html

Also a poll showing 34% of those polled hold May more responsible for Windrush than Rudd, who polled just 4%. I agree.
