I just repaired a broken nail with a tea bag ..... I can’t remove it as it’s broken too low, so I cut a small portion from a tea bag, put nail glue over the broken area, placed the tea bag over it which instantly goes clear, then applied more glue over the top...... let it dry, buff the edges to blend it in and hey presto..... a quick fix until it grows out long enough to remove it!

Why not just use a new nail? if you can't get to a B&Q - a high street Robert Dyas sell them by the box load.

If you live in a hard water area like I do, add a scoop full of soda crystals to your washing machine draw when you do a wash. It instantly softens the water making more and better soap suds and stops the build up of limescale inside the machine.

At anything from 99p to £1.10 for a kilo bag it's far cheaper and just as good as any propriety brand, works for dishwashers too. You'll be amazed at the results but don't tell everyone otherwise it'll shoot up in price.
