Thanks NN :wubbers:

Yes, mom and baby are fine, according to the very proud dad, Hallie has had some milk and done a poo!! He's been sending texts all day!

I'm really tired so I'm going for a nap before going to see them.

I became a "nanny" for the first time at 3.25am this morning!

A bit of background, Mr VC and I had his niece come to live with us 10 years ago (lots of family problems, basically her mom couldn't cope any more)

Various things happened, and eventually Mr VC and I became her guardian's. We had lots of problems at first, school, a bad crowd she was hanging round with but we managed to get her through her GCSEs and eventually she started college to train as a hairdresser.

Fast forward 10 years and she's now a qualified hairdresser, who is starting her own business next year, with a lovely boyfriend and now a mom.

Hallie Louise was born at 3.25 am, 6 pounds, 9 ounces (I don't "do" kg!!) and mom and baby are well. Going to see them later, and can't wait.

I'm so proud of both of them, but so tired now!

Will probably have a glass of two of proscetto to celebrate later on.

Wahay! Nice one! :canny:

Well, that's it sorted. Had to renew driving license photo - not so easy when you ain't from the UK, BUT I found a Post Office that you can do it electronically at, so I am legal to drive once more! :yess:
(Just wish I hadn't got photo booth pics done, as they do it all in the process at the P.O)......there went another £6. :paranoid:

I'm on ibuprofen now - landed badly on my knee, cos that horrible sod (that I adore) suddenly decided to lunge forward and head for a tempting little patch of grass, when I was dismounting.

Sore as hell :bawlin:

I bought a pair of sandals and they came today. I usually wear flip flops all summer but thought I'd be safer driving in sandals - I hate having hot feet. Anyway, they arrived and I tried them on, they have an ankle strap with a buckle - I got myself in a total state because there aren't enough holes in the strap and my immediate thought was 'I'll get dad to sort that' then I just cried because he's deid. :bawlin:

Nice sandals though, quite elegant - for me :canny:

Great news!

What's a prescetto though? Is that like a cross between prosecco and a Cornetto because if so I could completely go for that right now.

paracetomol (or ibuprofen) will lower the temperature but only as a short term solution

Paracetomol will reduce temperature and ibuprofen reduces swelling.

I take both every day as I’m usually sweaty and bloated.
