Remind us how Dairy farmers are doing these days.

There are now fewer than 9,500 dairy farms in the UK compared with 13,000 10 years ago, and it has been predicted there will be fewer than 5,000 by 2025. Low milk prices threaten the livelihoods of dairy farming families and, with it, the rural communities of which they are apart.

How many coal mines are open.

The last deep coal mine in the UK closed on 18 December 2015. In 2016, 77% of supplies were imported from Colombia, Russia and the USA.

How British Airways are faring.

First, unlike most other national airlines, you no longer get complimentary drinks or snacks in economy. Instead, in a rather gimmicky fashion you can now purchase only Marks & Spencer’s food. A fleeting attempt to cling onto its middle-class reputation as it dwindles into a low-cost airline.
Next, you have to pay at least £13 to reserve a seat. In true budget-airline style, seats at the back are cheaper — except on the likes of Ryanair they cost £11 less. If you want to sit in the front of the plane you could find yourself paying double.
Most recently comes the announcement that some short-haul flights, bearing in mind that this includes trips to North Africa, will no longer offer reclining seats.
As somewhat of an icing on the cake, it was reported that BA are planning to fly passengers with different carriers from Gatwick.

Finally, via privatisation, the old BRS (later National Freight Corporation) is German owned (Exel plc).

So you want to revert to coal fired power stations?
I guess that you don't care about the environment

"On 21 April 2017, Britain went a full day without using coal power to generate electricity for the first time since the Industrial Revolution, according to the National Grid.[34] In April 2018, a new record was set of 55 hours without coal, which in turn was broken by a period of more than 72 hours without coal a few days later.[35]"

You want to force planes to carry fewer passengers at higher fares?
I recently flew from Stansted to Hamburg for £15 one-way with RyanAir
I had the choice of paying a lot more with another airline, but I was happy to have no reclining seats for a quick 70 minute hop
But I guess you want flights to be expensive - just for the few, not the many

Also, are we running out of milk?
I must admit there was plenty on the shelves at my local supermarket yesterday
Did you think that maybe there are economies of scale in milk production?
Or did you just forget your last post regarding the railways.

They would have to increase to 34.8 billion to match the Irish level of subsidy.

So? :dunno:

I wouldn't trust your figures at all, but don't have a problem with increased subsidies to our railways.

Increase corporation tax and make the rich pay their fair share. Their day is coming and the poor won't be made to suffer any more.

:hap:

So which budget would you raid to get the extra £30 billion for your rail subsidies from?
Police?
Roads?
NHS?

Cancel every single tax loophole.
Cancel all forms of welfare for Corporations.

Oh look I've just raised £110 Billion a year minimum.
We could stop bombing Syria, which costs many Billions.

Oh look, the Syrian air strikes have cost £1.75 billion. Not many billions.
So I suspect that all your other figures have been similarly exagerated.

Add Libyan, Iraq and Syrian sorties are daily so those costs have risen, when are your figures for? We spent £3Billion bombing Syria in 2015, you remember whe Ozzy was saying how broke we are on and here's £180 Billion for the MoD to increase bombing raids. You really buy into that crap, quite sad really.

I noticed you ignored the cancel tax loopholes etc.

£34 billion is the total value of tax that goes uncollected annually.

(source HMRC)

Throw in cancelling of HS2 and you've got £110bn.

Was wonderful of Cameron to give away huge numbers of weapons to the Free Syria Army, which ended up with ISIS.

Have you discussed that with Corbyn and McDonnell?
They whipped all Labour MP's into supporting it.

And it was in their manifesto for last year's election

"Complete HS2 from London to Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Scotland."

Priorities, Mungbean - priorities.

I can't see Corbyn regarding a 20 minute cut in journey time between London and Birmingham as a top priority.

So you don't believe in investing in this country's infrastructure
Fortunately, Corbyn doesn't share your views
If it was up to you, we'd still be running steam trains
