There was a theory that postulated Megatherium may have been carnivorous and used their claws to tip over the Glyplodonts and then devoured the poor thing's alive whilst they were upside down in their shells and helpless.

Debunked now due to the study of their dung which lacks bone fragments and proves they were vegetarian (although like a lot of herbivores today they may have scavenged a bit of meat on occasion).

This is great - I though it was a hoax before reading the story.
