An Ex-Police Officer On Why It's Wrong To Criminalize Drug Users
Business Insider spoke to Neil Woods, a former undercover drug squad officer, chairman of LEAP UK, and author of "Good Cop, Bad War".

Woods said the "British system" that treated problematic drug use as a medical issue was wiped out by US foreign policy.

People from both ends of the political spectrum i.e. David Lammy and Peter Hitchens have pointed out that cocaine leaves a trail of death to get to it's mainly middle-class liberal consumers in the UK.

And I think it was a good point that these people are the same ones who consume "ethical" goods and "Fairtrade" coffee and chocolate yet they don't apply the same standards when stuffing their noses full of their favourite drug.
