RUSSIA 2018 - THE WORLD CUP THREAD.

A right load of bollocks...

France were shite, Argentina not much better, Croatia put in a decent performance and could get a lot better - but you gotta feel sorry for Peru.

They played their socks off right from the start and had Denmark on the back foot for most of the game, poor finishing let them down though in open play and a dreadful penalty miss at 0-0 made matters worse.

Even so they deserved something from that game and would have got it but for some fine stops by Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Did anybody see that video of the Taxi crashing into those people on the pavement in Russia? Police have said its accidental, doesn’t look like it to me personally...

It is football where they kick the balls instead of picking them up isn't it?

This is a bit exciting. No slow build up in this match.

The Germans look like giants. Like big white flag poles compared to the little green Mexicans.

Well thats my prediction for the scoreline well and truly up the clarts already and if Mexico are as good as they were in the first half, my result prediction will follow right behind.

Got to say, I knew Mexico were handy but didn't realise they were that handy - well deserve their lead.

This has the makings of another Portugal/Spain, Germany have got to be better second half.

Similar first half to the 1998 match tbh, which Germany won 2-1 after an outstanding second half.

They were knackered and you could see an equaliser coming. I thought the Mexican manager was being a bit previous in sticking on a defender for an attacker at 57 minutes but he knew what he was doing. Well played Mexico a deserved victory.
