It's nature - do people object when a seal tears apart an octopus or a smaller shark?

The point was to show just how devasting the mechanical damage is from a White shark bite - if they were interested in humans no beach would be safe.

We kill 100 million sharks every year - they kill 5 of us.

So who is the monster?

As for my troll/stalker wanker jumping on the bandwagon to have a go - fuck off out of my thread. :flog:

I think a lot of people understand the power of a white shark and if they don't then they can find out for themselves.

If you get a kick out of viewing such things then ok but please keep them to yourself. This is a request, not a demand. Remember, this isn't your thread and you don't get to dictate the content.

I don't get a 'kick out of it' - it's nature which is often brutal.

We seem to live in a more and more sanitised world - even wildlife documentaries are now heavily censored (people would be horrified at what actually goes on in the African Savanna for example).

Anyway it was in a spoiler with a warning - people did not have to click and then moan about what they saw.

Curiosity killed the cat as they say.

You'd normally associate that sort of behaviour with an adolescent - if he's significantly older than that you have to wonder what's going on.

Oh piss off - as I have said it's a natural predation event which I put in spoilers so why fucking look if you were so offended?

If you want fluffy bunnies and ickle kittens start your own thread. :whogives:

I don't want kittens and bunnies and I wasn't offended. I'm simply questioning the mentality of someone who posts pictures of mutilated animals. If you're a teenager - well, I guess that's what young men sometimes do, perhaps for shock value. If you're somewhat older - hmm, not sure in that case. If you think people are unaware that nature is cruel and need to be reminded you're mistaken, but I doubt you really think that.

Could you be any more condescending?

Read through this thread - how many 'mutilated animals' are in it?

Not counting the seal - about zero.

I don't know you from Adam but you seem you have decided to have a go at me.

How about posting something of worth yourself in here?

Keyser you really need to stop this

you don't get to say what guest posts are approved into the thread, you don't get to tell people what not to post, and you don't get to dictate the direction of the thread

mutilated animal porn doesn't get me off, nor do I see any need to seek it out - we may differ in that, but don't be surprised when people question your need to share it with the forum

finally people commenting on your behaviour does not make them stalkers

To be fair, neither do you :again?:
FFS, he did put it in the spoiler, what more do you want? I didn't click it because I had a fair idea what it might be, why did you?

I do have one stalker - that is a fact HF - they have followed me since I arrived here.

Other guest posts I can take or leave - and I am a great animal lover so people insinuating I get off on 'mutilation' is simply out of order.

It's nature - not pretty but is the way it is.

I literally would never harm a fly. :smilin:

This is one of the few threads in here that does not have many trolls - I want it to stay that way.

I'm not trying to, nowhere has keyser been told not to post those pics, just asked why he would

I'm not the one telling people to fuck off out of 'my' thread

now until you sort out your comprehension problems you might find it prudent to hush a little :smilin:

Nature is awesome.

Yes, it can be cruel and disturbing to see the remains of the prey, but that doesnt mean it should be hidden away like some dirty little secret.

Seriously, its a science and nature thread. Why all the angst about seeing what is actually part of the natural order of life in the wild?

How about some dismembered human remains - that's part of awesome nature too.

Last time I looked, humans and human behaviour were part of nature.

That may be, but last time I looked it tended to be the humans doing the killing.

It would be a very rare sight indeed to see a human with it's middle portion missing floating adrift in the sea after coming into contact with a Great White Shark, so it's hardly the natural order of life in the wild to see dismembered human remains in a science and nature thread.

I'm talking about humans doing the killing. Each other. All part of nature, etc etc.
