I think Burkas are perhaps apt for the middle east but hardly suitable for the British climate, and I do think they are outdated unneccessary and look stupid.

However if the ladies who wear them are happy with the way they look then that is fine by me.

I've said it before I never heard of or saw such thing in the seventies but I had a shop back then and there's no way I would let you in wearing that gear.
I made people remove crash helmets to.
I also banned the local nuns from coming in because they always came half a dozen strong with special needs people in tow.
Ater two accidental serious breakages that they refused to pay fo they were barred.
If I had the shop today that Muslim garb would not be allowed.

Actually as an Iranian I've never seen any Iranian women with Buraqs. You are definitely confusing Iran and Iranians with Saudi Arabia.

In Iran since 1979 women have to wear headscarf in public. There is no rule in place for Buraqs. Burqas are an Arabic thing. It is not Persian. Majority Iranians are Persian and therefore don't have the same culture as Arabs.
