Boris Johnson is to face a Conservative Party investigation over his comments about women who wear the niqab.

Tory officials opened the inquiry into the former foreign secretary after receiving complaints about his widely-criticised remarks.

The probe could, in theory, lead to the MP being expelled from the party.

Boris is an extremely well educated man and he is a very capable human being, however it is a fact that he has caused a bit of a shitstorm.
Was it his aim to create a dialogue on Burkas?
I really don't know but he has stirred up a hornets nest for sure, people on both sides of the Burka issue are commenting.
Commenting is great but abusing Burka wearers is not
