Cool concept, but perhaps not in high wind or tornado prone areas. :gigglesnshit:

Cam belt and tensioners done.
New alternator belt.
Vehicle check no rust no work needed for next years MOT.
£700 lighter but peace of mind.
Now to get on with the conversion.

When I first read that’s I thought you’d put a lighter in worth £700.

Is it a camper van you’ve got? We are looking for one but I can’t see us finding one, we have been looking for about 10 years.

For a knitting forum, it's rather hostile? :ooer:

Hope the usual retarded army were out in force protesting the modding...or is it just the one admin they don't like modding...

Random question. Do the forum codes work on thread headers when doing a thread? ie strike out? :dunno:

Yes. Mazda especially. Mazda 6 avoid, MX5 inspect. Other Japanese stuff as well.

Minibus.
2005 with only 85,000 on the clock one previous owner (a local authority).
Taken all the seats out tomorrow doing a floor plan and then converting to camper.
I bought it from a farm in Derbyshire.
Young guy there buys ambulances and minibuses from trusts NHS local authorities.
He prices them to sell so they won't be rotting away enmasse in his yard.
Really nice bloke you get what he says your getting.
Phone him tell him how much you've got and he'll tell you what he's got in your price range.
Two grand is probably his bottom end.
You can find him on Ebay just type in cowshedcampers.

I do cambelt and tensioner on all the kids cars when they get a new one as well as a service. Amazing how many times I've seen cars with service history and a pollen filter that's never been changed too.

Last week my daughter asked me to check out a seven seater she was interested in.
Give me the reg.
Typed it in to check the MOT history phoned her and said no forget it.
It was advertised with full MOT done on June 20th.
O June the 19th it had failed on a mass of stuff.
Ball joints bearings windscreen petrol leak on the verge of causing fire and on and on the list went.
I think it failed on a dozen things all serious.
There were around fifteen advisories but the next day a clean MOT no advisories.
I told her it wasn't possible to do that much work in 24 hrs.
I answered the add and said hey ma can you tell me which garage did that mush work for you in 24 hrs I need a garage like that.
The add was gone within the hour.
So yes bent MOT's still exist.

You only need a friendly tester, same as it always was. Just leave it on the ramp logged on to test centre and they think you're doing an mot. Not unheard of to use another vehicle for the emissions test either or take the pipe out the exhaust part way through. It's better than it was but still easily defeated.

The MOT checker has been o of the best introductions though, easy to check cars for sale and see general condition as well as check for hair cuts.
