I like neutral weather that requires no intervention, neither fire nor fan.

Fire?

Or central heating.

I thought you perhaps had a log burning stove or a working open fire.

Usually blocks out the sunshine though, so you won't be able to post any more.

I wore trousers and a jacket yesterday, first time I have been out of shorts since the end of May.

Well, it's certainly not "scorchio" any longer. It feels almost autumnal. I am hoping for one more heatwave before we start to batten down the hatches. It's been an amazing summer and I don't want it to end.

Bloody cold.

Might even turn the fire on later and watch a good horror film.

I'm not really into horrors or thrillers but this week I've watched the boy, Stephen kings a good marriage and tonight I'm watching 1922. Turned al horror and thriller all of a sudden.

I've noticed the first mistake. The husband threw her body down the well and it was all tied up and covered. He looks down the well to see rats all over the body and crawling inside her mouth the day after. Uncovered

A well crated horror film is always a treat - and there have been some masterpieces from abroad over the last few decades - for example 'Låt Den Rätte Komma In' (Let the Right One In) was one of the most atmospheric, haunting, disturbing and beautiful films that I have ever seen.
