Had Britain not voted to leave, the deficit would be down to just 0.1% of GDP, or £2bn. It would mean the austerity drive in place since 2010 would be all but complete.

Only paid off WW2 war debt when Mr Brown ( lord) used gold reserves. And the US refused to pay for all the military as well as other trade benifits recived. If that is the rules by which every body wants to play then the architects have a cheek to bemone the rules of engagment.NATO started with the Prussian Britanic alliance, and in many instances up held agreements at the expenses of the people. Suize, Palestine, Lybia, there are a few instances such as Falklands (no settlement till after Argentine collonisation), Opium wars (shouldn't have ignore health and social problems. And the second opium was rendered illegal, Hong Kong should have been returned, thats like accusing someone of murder after the person killed some one when it wasn't illegal. Or criminalisin our grand parents for not wearing seat belts befoe they where invented) and Gibraltar ( sea is not in the agreement).

We don't often agree but that really does sum up this insane procedure very nicely, it is just plain crazy with nothing but pain to look forward to.
Unless anyone can explain any kind of benefits from Brexit?
I personally cannot envisage a single one but am happy to be corrected if someone can explain any to me.

Blue passports (that we could have had anyway). Fish turned out to be a non-starter when we learned that we sold most of our quotas anyway and the 0.5% of GDP that is the UK fishing industry comes from the stuff that we sell tariff-free to the French and Spanish through the open market on goods.
