Yeah but, there's a lot of questions to answer. A battery that lasts for eleven months? I've heard talk about it having to be plugged in to the mains so that the back light in the frame lit up. Also this pic first appeared on Banksy's Instragram which makes you wonder if he was at the auction and hit the shred option from his phone

To the man on the street and those not in the know, then yes thats plausible and I get they wouldn't see it but this is Sotherby's they should have checked the artwork in fine detail for authenticity. The odd weight & distribution of weight of the frame should have rang alarm bells never mind anything else.
