Beef stew and dumplings, cooking at the moment in my slow cooker. Apple pie and custard for pudding, it's a cold, grey miserable day here and I just feel like some comfort food.

Haven’t decided yet, either tandoori chicken or chicken curry.

No we had 4 each, 1 drumstick left in the fridge.

No chips or drinks or side dishes with this BTW.

Youngster's gf works for an upmarket catering firm with branches all over the north. She helps cook for weddings and assorted events.
Occasionally events are oversubscribed, or outdoor do's are rained out . . . . & they end up with lots of leftover uncooked food.
Vegetables & slabs of pork, beef, duck breasts.
So she pops round & leaves bags of assorted vegs & trays of luscious meat. Nice!!

Well after the upheaval of new windows being put in - oh joy, NOT - I think the local chinese will be getting hammered. Absolutely knackered moving things and trying to put up curtains etc with a fkd back, so no cooking tonight!

(The men in my life are being great and have let me lay down to rest the back. So they can have a chinese too. lol)

Why are you lifting anything if you have a bad back? Let the men in your life do it!
