So much for discussion, out come the insults

What about hermaphrodites?
If a man is born with a female brain that makes him female in my book.
You're a transphobic racist...

You've also not answered the question, if women can have penises and men vaginas why is surgery necessary?
It isn’t. Not for all of them. There are degrees of transition. Not everyone will opt for gender reassignment surgery.
It’s not the surgery, but the identity transition.

They seem to go for the over feminised version of being female though. It’s like they want to escape the expectation of being macho and want to be able to be softer, sensitive and possibly, protected. It’s all perception though. They never seem to transition into a non glam, non make up wearing ‘woman’.

Not all of them. Many blend in quite well as normal looking women. I think that’s an overcompensation kind of thing though. And a pitfall of those early in their transition, I’d say. On the whole they are probably as varied as CIS women.

Then I don’t understand the need to transition. And I know I don’t need to but this is a discussion so...
Is it escapism? From the shackles of being male? There’s plenty of non macho males who may have been ridiculed when younger but go on to live fulfilling lives without needing to fit in with other more ‘male’ males.
Is it a socialising thing? Some men prefer the company of women.

I think it’s just really difficult to grasp if you aren’t transgender.
My friend told me he felt like you’d imagine someone overweight felt. Only it was his gender he needed to change. Before he transitioned he couldn’t kick depression, self harmed, tried to take his own life a few times. Once he transitioned all that lifted. He doesn’t really behave any differently or anything. To me he’s exactly the same, except his pronouns.
Gender isn’t something you really consciously think of, but if you did, and you had this inate sense that yours didn’t fit and wasn’t right, I can’t imagine it’d be the best existence.

But if you’re overweight you know that’s in your own hands and that if you really wanted to you can change it, maybe with some help but it’s doable.
The need to be another gender is different, I think it’s to do with your environment/community having overly strong gender defining roles. That may be why they feel they don’t fit and want more fluidity between the sexes, I can understand that. It’s sad that it causes depression and/or self harm for some. People can be unnecessarily cruel towards sensitive people.

Got no argument so resorts to right wing memes and insults.
Who’d have expected that?!

Do you also refer to the "LGBTQetc Community"?
And frequently refer to things being "problematic"?
