It's surprising when you consider this year the Saudi government bombed a bus full if school children, killing them all and we barely heard a thing about it in mainstream news.

Obviously the murder of this journalist is appalling but there'll be a reason it's been made the leading story and it won't have anything to do with justice.

Thousands being butchered in Yemen which the United Nations warned this week could plunge 13-million people into a famine which would be the worlds worst in 100 years. But nobody bat's an eyelid.

But that's war. War has always resulted in mass casualties, often innocent civilians. I'm talking about premeditated murder of a specific citizen, by their own country.

There does seem to be a lot of consternation about a Saudi national getting killed in an embassy, while.the same folks seemed less concerned about 4 Americans dying in one of our own.

Especially considering one of those killed was a US Ambassador.

Perhaps. All wars suck. However there is still a distinction between waging war, and premedited murder of your own citizens.

No perhaps about it.

Wars suck... genocides are a crime against humanity

True and as wutang rightly pointed out, Yemen is now on the brink of the worst famine in a century should war continue. A news report was on the other night with sights reminiscent of Ethiopia back in the 80's. Horrible.

On the subject of genocide, have you watched the three part documentary BBC screened, "A Dangerous Dynasty: House of Assad"? If not, it's well worth viewing.

I have just seen some Saudi (hypocrite) minister on the news talking about getting to the bottom of this matter in total transparency :yikes:

He ought to try stand up

Strangled as soon as he entered the embassy, body then dismembered and destroyed?
Thanks for the admission.
Now where are the body parts that were “destroyed?”

Somewhere scattered around a dense forest in Turkey apparently. Trump "I love the Saudis" has remained somewhat distant describing it as "rogue elements" at work. Very weird given Khashoggi worked as a journalist for the Washington Post. I'm surprised he hasn't called it "fake news".
